Making ginger beer from scratch
We had a nice supply of ginger beer going over Christmas. It's a delicious soft drink for young and old, although there is an alcoholic version that can be made with a slight variation on the recipe. ReplyDeleteWhat a darling new little stove. I was looking at one just like it not long ago; only I rent, and wondered whether it would be worth it to change it.

Sounds good! Have you read the book Julie and Julia? It is excellent and guess what? The author Julie Powell was in my town this weekend. Wish I had known, I would have loved to meet her.
ReplyDeleteSounds absolutely perfect!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Julie and Julia as well. I have had a craving for Beef Borgonione (sp?) ever since!
ReplyDeleteI hope that your friend Bernadette is being helped by the chemo. God bless both of you.
I get a kick out of your garden posts. There is snow everywhere here, and once the snow melts there will be nothing but mud, mud, and more mud! But I can dream, can't I? LOL!
I absolutely love Julie and Julia, my hubsband and I saw it in theatres and I had to have it on dvd and I've watched it a hundred times over. There's something wonderful about the story that resonates with me. I'm glad you liked it as well, wishing you all the best in what sounds like a busy time.
