Today's kitchen sink is in America's south. It is Anke's kitchen and these photos were sent around Christmas time.
Anke writes:
"My name is Anke, and my family and I live in Alabama.
One picture shows the kitchen sink after I did the lunch dishes. The sink faces the living room and right now I get to look at the Christmas tree while I do the dishes.
The other two pictures are of the kitchen. One from the dining table facing the work area. The other one from the door facing the dining table.
You can visit Anke's little piece of heaven blog here.
Please don't forget to comment. A comment is like payment for the time taken to post, and in this case in sending in the photos. Many of us were enthusiastic about this series, so make sure all the photos get a good number of comments. I don't want any of the people sending in photos to regret joining in. Thank you friends.
A very nice kitchen, Anke, with a lot of cabinet space! Thank you for sharing this with us all.

I love the open look to your kitchen! How lovely to be working on preparing food for your family, while still being a part of family life as it goes on in other parts of the home. You have some lovely cupboard space in your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought you can tell a lot about a person by their sink! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty dark wood cabinets and a range to die for is what I see! :) What an open and spacious kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of all that cupboard space too!

ReplyDeleteoh what a lovely spacious kitchen, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnke, thanks for sharing your beautiful kitchen with us. Just love the look over the sink to the family room and christmas tree. I know I spend alot of time over my kitchen sink and bench, so lovely to have such a warm view. Loving your storage spaces, one can't ever have enough cupboards.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what's in the antique green shaker on the left side of the sink. Since it's at the sink, I'm thinking baking soda or some kind of powdered hand scrub (like Boraxo). I have one of those shakers. It once belonged to my grandma.
ReplyDeleteOh! I like love your kitchen. It looks very inviting.I can just imagine washing the dishes and having a chat...yep! Love it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful large kitchen. I really love your cherry coloured cabinets very warm. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletePretty kitchen Anke! I love all the stainless steel and the dark cabinets. Very rich looking. I like that it's all open and looks into the family room, too, so you can be part of what's going on! Thanks for letting us into your home!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty kitchen! It looks like an efficient layout. I like the idea of looking out over the living area while washing the dishes. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, spacious kitchen with those lovely dark cabinets! The view is also really great, the dining area with this beautiful chandelier. And I would love such a range.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the sink unit divides the kitchen space. How do I submit a picture of my kitchen please?
ReplyDeleteLovely. I especially like the owls on the side of your fridge (or is it a cupboard?) I'd love to contribute to the Kitchen Sink but our house is up for sale so it's not our 'real' kitchen, rather a 'show' kitchen until it sells :(
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful kitchen. Love the rich color of your cupboards. Thankyou for sharing.---Krystal
ReplyDeleteAnke, you have a lovely home. Your kitchen is right in the middle of everything...absolutely lovely :)

ReplyDeleteI like your counter tops and the openness of you kitchen - what a large space. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI always liked my sink to be in front of a window so I could enjoy the great outdoors while doing dishes but facing the family room is just as nice. Love that you can still be part of the family while going about the kitchen duties. Counter space is also a plus. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLovely kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI like those handles! And like many people with a small kitchen, I want your cupboard space!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous kitchen! I love how spacious it is, and how you can be a part of the action, even while you're cooking or washing up.
