You, me and the kitchen sink

Today's kitchen is Libby's in Woolongong Australia.  Woolongong is just south of Sydney.

Libby writes:
"I love my kitchen - I designed it myself (I used to work as a Kitchen Designer) so everything is just how I wanted it. My sink looks into our family room and out to the vegetable garden. And the main orientation from the kitchen, when I'm preparing food, is outside. We've been in this home for over 4 years now and my kitchen still makes me so very happy."

Please don't forget to comment. A comment is like payment for the time taken to post, and in this case in sending in the photos.  Many of us were enthusiastic about this series, so make sure all the photos get a good number of comments.  I don't want any of the people sending in photos to regret joining in.  Thank you friends.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not accepting any more kitchen sink photos.  After I have gone through those I still have, I'll start another pictorial type of post that you can be involved in.

  11. I want to thank you so very much for doing the kitchens pictorial. It has been very educational and inspirational. Perhaps when the day comes for us to move to a place where I can have a proper kitchen, I will be better prepared to create or organize it. --Red

  14. I love love love the gray/blue color. That's the color I painted my bathroom, and when I lay in my white clawfoot bathtub, It feels absolutely serene. A lot of people would think serenity wouldn't come from a deeper color like that, but I think it's the most relaxing color!!

  35. Fantastic Kitchen - Love the gadget cupboard, we had one in our last kitchen which I miss. I love the way the kitchen is the hub of the house and that you have a good view of outside and especially that the vege garden is handy to the kitchen is a bonus. Lorraine

  37. What a very nice color. It reminds me of water. It is just a beautiful place to work. To me kitchen duty is not 'work' it is something I do for our family.
Thank you for this series on kitchens. I love to look at people's home. It gives me an idea of a person's personality.
I like a comfortable, lived in, tidy home. These have all been just that kind of kitchens, from all over the world..women are amazing.

  43. What a great kitchen! There are things I see in this pic that I've missed before when reading your blog. My kitchen sink looks at a wall - such a horrible idea when there's a million dollar view on the other side of the wall! One day, when you help me re-design my kitchen.... ;)
