The push to ditch renewables could hand coal and gas industries billions. If you're as angry as I am about this move to dilute what all Australians should be doing - moving to more sustainable energy options, I encourage you to email your local federal member. I am. You can find their contact information here.
Thanks for the links to some interesting reading over the weekend, Rhonda. Our Simple Living Toowoomba group is having a fermentation workshop tomorrow which will be interesting. Have a relaxing weekend. It is drizzly here so it might be a wet weekend in SE Qld.
ReplyDeleteEspecially enjoyed the article on living with voluntary simplicity. I'm consciously trying to make choices with my goal of living a simple life in mind and that means saying "no" to things at times. It's not depriving ourselves, it's thriviving as we free ourselves to live less encumbered by things. Thank you for sharing and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rhonda, for the links re: solar power station scrapped and the push to ditch renewables. These articles makes me feel that Australia is lagging behind in investing in modern technology in regard to solar & wind power solutions. Australia could be a world leader in renewable energy, it sounds like this opportunity is being lost to us. I have just found the email address of my local member and plan to write to him.
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd had many more emails similar to yours, Jenny. This is an important issue for all of us but it looks like many Australians think someone else will do it.
