Another workshop at Bell

Hanno and I are going over to Bell for another workshop on Saturday, 18 August. We're looking forward to seeing Karen and the women at Pips 'n' Cherries again; we had such a great day with them last time. This workshop we'll be showing how to make five minute bread, yoghurt scones, buttermilk scones and cold processed soap.

The workshop will run from 9.30am till about 3pm so there'll be plenty of time for questions and talking. If I remember correctly, last time there were a lot of both.  It was a typical country get-together with lots of good will, plenty of tea, good food and sharing, not just by me, but by everyone. I have no doubt this will be the same. The cost is $50, which includes a delicious home-cooked morning tea and lunch. For catering purposes, bookings are essential on 4663 1184.

We hope to see you there.

  1. Hi Rhonda, I will not be able to make it to Bell but after seeing the add for the Maleny Food Festival on your blog the other day I am excited to say that my daughter and I will be able to see you there!! She lives in Caloundra so an easy trip up the mountain for us. We will have our Down to Earth books with us :)

    Cheers, Karen near Gympie.

  4. Hi Rhonda, Bell is a bit too far to drive for me. But I am hoping u will start running some similar workshops at Maleny. I would love to come up for a weekend. And if u had a 2 day workshop it would be bliss! Just some food for thought for you!
    Cheers,

  6. Hi Rhonda, Can't come to the workshop however I am slowly taking steps to a more simple life. Love your laundry soaps, easy to make & work so well. I've pulled out my old bread machine & dad (84) loves the fresh bread.
You suggest learning as much as you can about the changes we make, so for a few days I have been learning about Olive Oil --the different types / uses, etc.. So I will be using it for soap making, facial moisturiser, hair & nail care....It is amazing how just a little research & with the help of you & the blog comments help to simplify my life e.g. once my cleaning, personal care products are used up I'll replace with just a few items that have multiple uses >> more storage space, less time shopping.
To build up my cooking skills I've tried scones as they are quick to make & everyone loves them. Researched & tried a few recipes but can't seem to get it right just yet. Any chance you might post a video of your workshop for this ????
Blessings to you & your family (you give so much, it will come back to you)

  9. Oh Rhonda!!! I'm so disappointed in living so far from you, I cannot attend the workshop. Coming from Sicily it's not easy at all!!! Anyway, I love reading your pages and dreaming about a more simple life.......... Enjoy your time and I'll be waiting for the new post about the workshop.
