This is a Friday photo feature that anyone with a blog can join. To take part, post a photo on your own blog, write a short caption explaining it, and link it back to here from your blog by saying you're part of "On my mind". Please write a new post, don't link to an older one. When you've done that, come back here and add a comment below, with a link to your blog.
I'll be tidying up after a very busy week this morning and attending a meeting this afternoon. But tomorrow, I'll be tending to these loofas and that is what's on my mind today.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend doing what you love. Thank you for visiting me this week. I'll see you again soon.
Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteI love reading about the loofah's you grow and the post about setting soap inside a loofah was particularly interesting. I think it's time I planted some. My Friday On My Mind photo is about the first tiny egg one of my hand raised chicks laid this week.
Happy Friday - Jen

I know I'm not supposed to refer back to older posts, but I'm working today, and don't have time to post, and I did such a relevant post this week about buying in bulk to save money, very relevant to your blog posts this week, and I linked back to your post at the time of writing it.

Hi Rhonda and everyone joining in.
ReplyDeleteI find loofas quite an interesting object :) I enjoy reading about them on your blog Rhonda, before I started reading here I had never heard or seen one before :)

Fox and how horrible they are is on my mind today. Over the last week or so they have killed 4 chooks and a few chickens so today will be spend trying to foxproof a pen.

Speaking of loofas, have you tried eating them? When they're about the size of a continental cucumber. Delicious added to a stir fry for instance. Purple on my mind today though at snapshotsofbeauty.blogspot.com I'm heading up to Hervey Bay for a reunion of sorts. Safe trip to all on the roads.

Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if loofahs would grow here, perhaps not, I would presume they are a tropical/wet area plant.
On my mind today is being a winner :)

I like the new picture of you! Too cold here to grow loofahs, but the pumpkins are nearly ready, so that is some pretty good compensation :-)

ReplyDeleteMy daughter (Melissa) and I have been discussing home schooling her daughter (my grand daughter, she is 5years old). Melissa still has a long way to go with school and a lot of work still ahead of her (trying to keep her 3.8 GPA) and then there is still medical school. (five or six years left all together) The public school system is 5 days a week, so this would not permit her the time she needs with her daughter around the hours she spends on her own schooling, we decided to home school so that I can help her continue to juggle her schedule. If she were home schooled I could handle Sidney's classes and rotate the schedule to match the hours Melissa is at university every day. This would also help with the transition (for Sidney) when she does eventually move to her next school, which is about an hour away. Melissa is planning on keeping with the home schooling (she has found homeschooled communities in the city she will have to move to, this isn't for a while though) so this would be on going for Sidney. She would not be uprooted, so to speak. We would like to start the process as soon as possible. I have been searching the Internet and it can be somewhat (well very) confusing on what program to go with. I was hoping someone you knew out there could help her and I get started with a good solid program. Any help would be greatly appreciated, we live in the Midwest USA. Thanks Kim

Sorry this is so long and I hope this is where I should ask you at
have a good weekend
Kim, I have no idea about homeschooling in the USA. Maybe someone else can help you.
