Oh I'm admiring your double basket stand. I don't have a space for a craft room in our new rental but I seem to be doing a lot of knitting which doesn't take up much space and you can do it anywhere.Zenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16373747863822737468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5089828552519076506.post-43800125798550022442015-05-13T04:09:21.069+10:002015-05-13T04:09:21.069+10:00I love how bright and feminine your room is. I ran my business from here and now that I am retired it is still the place where I conduct business, all our communications and where I write. I still have to share it with the dog and cats as they need to keep their eye on me at all times. Some sort of dog and cat law I guess.

I think that you can work or do hobbies anywhere if you have to (our kitchen table has always been a factory and school) but it is nice to have a dedicated space (not necessarily a whole room) where you are comfortable and can be organized.

Peace and quiet is very soothing and does actually promote productivity but earning to tune out peripheral noise is something that we all need to do. I learned to close out the world while working outside the home. I have never been in an office where the atmosphere was zen. More like noisy loud and constant. So whatever noise is going on at home is nothing compared to that. But when you hear a thump at home you have to pay attention and not figure that as long as it isn't on or near your desk it has nothing to do with you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09688443997034643095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5089828552519076506.post-71180356585035757042015-05-13T01:03:32.814+10:002015-05-13T01:03:32.814+10:00Your office/den looks so uncluttered and serene. ...Your office/den looks so uncluttered and serene. It has a huge window looking out into the back garden and lots of natural light and would make a perfect craft room.
