Weekend reading

We went out to vote in our state election last Monday and took Gracie with us.  Many of the people there supporting the politicians patted Grace and offered to hold her while we went in to vote. Dogs can certainly draw a crowd. After voting, we picked up a few odds and ends, then bought fish and chips and headed for the beach.  Sun, surf and an almost empty beach, bliss! It was a great way to spend a few hours away from home.  I think Gracie enjoyed meeting all her new fans too.

Things are still busy here.  We have all three grandkids here tomorrow and who knows what on Sunday. There's always something happening. I hope you have fun and enjoy what you do over the weekend.  I'll see you again next week.  xx

  2. Your first photo with the fish and chips actually makes me feel as if I'm there with you. Sounds like a great day had by all. It's good to get away for a little while and do things like that.
I just tried opening the link for 'Old Time Farm Day' and it goes to blogger. Not sure if it's my end.
Love the phone charger holder. We always have phones on charge especially now that the kids both have phones which need charging every night. A friend of mine has offered to teach me the basics of sewing so I'm thinking this just may be a good first project.
    Have a lovely weekend Rhonda.

  3. Rhonda if I am not wrong that is Moffat Beach. I really miss the beach especially at this time of year as we always used to go there once school finished in early December. I wasn't going to go back next year as it has become so busy up there but I might brave one more drive on the highway. LOL!

    1. You are not wrong, Chel, it is Moffat Beach. I think it's one of the most beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast. The trick to the coast is to pick the off-peak times. When we were at Moffat, there were only about 10 other people there. Just before and the school holidays and just after seem to be the best times. We look forward to seeing you again when you're here. We might have lunch at the club again. xx

  4. Moffat Beach, aaahhh...walking distance to my FIL's place. Of course his son, my husband, is up there on Sunday. Beautiful area and now obviously, good fish and chips. Enjoy.

  7. Hi Rhonda! My job this weekend is an assignment for university where I am currently studying a subject on publishing and I am using your book "The Simple Life" as one of my two books for a case study. (I am a long time reader of your blog). Is there any chance you might be willing to answer some questions for me via email? Thankyou! Tracey

DEAR READERS, PLEASE NOTE:
Comments keep blogs going. Without them it feels like no one is reading. That is true of my blog and every other blog available for public viewing.

I know that children read my blog so I always check my links and information to make sure they're family-friendly. I don't publish comments containing any kind of link now because I don't have time to check the links before publishing comments.
