SWAP TIME

Hello everyone. I am announcing a new fun swap. Rhonda has always enjoyed aprons as a reminder of the simple life. This swap will be an apron swap. For those of you who are new to sewing or are unsure of their skills please join in. A swap is a way to learn new skills or to practice old skills. Aprons are easy peasy to make and use really very little fabric, usually under 2 yards (meters). I have even made them from pieces of fabric sewn together to make the 2 yards or my hubbie's old shirts. I also would love to have each swapper send their swap buddy a favorite family recipe to make.

The sign up is here on the blog, not the forum, to make it easier for me (ahem) and to prevent anyone from accidently signing up twice. The sign up will go through Wednesday, March 14. I should have the swap buddies posted a few days after that.

Here is how you sign up:
1. Your first name
2. Your e mail address spelled out to prevent spammers

3. Your country
4. Whether you would like an overseas swap buddy-remember that this is more expensive, but you may also learn about a differnt country and find fantastic friends . I have found 2 fantastic friends (Ann and Mandy)!!!!

The swap will last until April 17, when all aprons and recipes should be in the post!

If you have any questions or want to learn how to make an apron, please e mail me at: cdetroyes(at)yahoo(dot)com

Start your creative engines and get going!!!
Sharon

PLEASE NOTE: to see the entire list of comments - click on the title- Swap Time, then go to the bottom of the first 200 comments and click "newer". Sharon is working on the list, please be patient, it's a huge task. If your name is on the list before 14 March, you'll be in the swap. If you name is not on the list, or is after 14 March, I invite you to join the next swap.  Rhonda

Just checked shipping BTW. looks like it's about $13 to ship air mail up to 250gm/8 oz to Europe and $11 to the US plus US requires an additional $9 for security scans...no really, that's what I get told every time I send something to my kids.
