You, me and the kitchen sink

Today's kitchen sink is in America's south.  It is Anke's kitchen and these photos were sent around Christmas time.

Anke writes:
"My name is Anke, and my family and I live in Alabama.
One picture shows the kitchen sink after I did the lunch dishes. The sink faces the living room and right now I get to look at the Christmas tree while I do the dishes.

The other two pictures are of the kitchen. One from the dining table facing the work area. The other one from the door facing the dining table.

You can visit Anke's little piece of heaven blog here.

Please don't forget to comment.  A comment is like payment for the time taken to post, and in this case in sending in the photos.  Many of us were enthusiastic about this series, so make sure all the photos get a good number of comments.  I don't want any of the people sending in photos to regret joining in.  Thank you friends.

  9. Anke, thanks for sharing your beautiful kitchen with us. Just love the look over the sink to the family room and christmas tree. I know I spend alot of time over my kitchen sink and bench, so lovely to have such a warm view. Loving your storage spaces, one can't ever have enough cupboards.

  10. I'm curious what's in the antique green shaker on the left side of the sink. Since it's at the sink, I'm thinking baking soda or some kind of powdered hand scrub (like Boraxo). I have one of those shakers. It once belonged to my grandma.

  25. Lovely. I especially like the owls on the side of your fridge (or is it a cupboard?) I'd love to contribute to the Kitchen Sink but our house is up for sale so it's not our 'real' kitchen, rather a 'show' kitchen until it sells :(

  31. I always liked my sink to be in front of a window so I could enjoy the great outdoors while doing dishes but facing the family room is just as nice. Love that you can still be part of the family while going about the kitchen duties. Counter space is also a plus. Thanks for sharing.
