Weekend reading

Well, here she is again, our Grace. The lady who bred her is sending photos so we stay connected and up-to-date with her progress. How can you not love that face?  And her paws! I love her paws. Okay, I'll stop now.  :- )

I've been fairly busy this past week with Jamie, Hanno's birthday and getting ready for Gracie. The weather here is great at the moment. It's neither hot nor cold and the afternoons are the best they've been all year. This perfect time will be over in a flash though because after the equinox, the days will get longer, the mildness of the weather will change to constant warmth and, once again, the seasons will change.

Have a wonderful weekend, friends.  I'll see you next week.

  1. Hi Rhonda,

Grace is adorable! It´s impossible to resist, I understand you :-)
Thank you for the weekend readings, they are always interesting. I´ve been sewing bowl covers, following the tutorial shared by you some weeks ago. They are all handsewn and for sure not looking perfect, but I'm happy with the result!

    Wish you a wonderful weekend

  4. You both must be counting the sleeps for Grace's arrival Rhonda. I think with her gorgeous face she will be able to get away with a lot.

Thanks for you wonderful links once again. Great ideas under the food hacks link. I will try adding bicarb to my boiled eggs next time I make scotch eggs as they're so hard to peel when only cooked for a short time. Also love the idea of 60 second pasta - will be using that one.

    Have a great weekend.

  10. Keep the pictures of that sweet Grace coming!

The article on straws was very eye opening. We do have stainless steel ones at home but contribute way too many to the landfill when we are traveling, etc. We are surely rethinking that one.

  14. Well obviously I can never be around Grace because the cuteness factor is too overwhelming. And I could not trust myself not to kidnap her. She is a beauty.

The story on the bees was incredible. What truly amazing creatures. I am very frightened about how the Zika virus is attacking and killing bees. It is carried and spread by mosquitoes but it kills bees - several billion already. This could be catastrophic for the planet.

    1. Lovely to see you here, Sunnymidnight. Bees seem to be a key factor in so many things. Yes, that story was incredible and goes to show the power of the hive.
