Introducing Ecoyarns

In my quest to find excellent products for my grandbabies, I came across Vivian's wonderful online store, Ecoyarns.  I am really pleased that Vivian and I are bartering yarns for promotion on my blog.  Bartering is a good fit for the simple way of life and I am so fortunate to have some of Vivian's yarns here so I know first hand that they are the best and softest yarns.

Ecoyarns was started in 2006 when Vivian wanted to purchase Organic Cotton and Organic Alpaca yarns and there was none to be found in any yarn stores. Ecoyarns specialises in Organic and EcoFriendly Yarns and fibres. They stock Organic Cotton, Organic Wool, Organic Alpaca and specialty yarns with some environmental credentials, such as plant dyed yarns. They also have small batches of hand dyed yarns and fibres for One of a Kind creations. Flat rate postage of $10, with free shipping for purchases over $150.  Click on the links in this post or on Vivian's ad in the side bar to check out her amazing range of wool, cotton, linen, silk, baby alpaca and other fine yarns.

Vivian is a mother of three children who have sensitivities and allergies and prefer to wear Organic materials. She loves to dabble in various fibre arts and crafts and occasionally designs garments.

I will only ever recommend products to you that I use myself, or would use if I needed them.  I am very happy to add Ecoyarns to my small list of endorsed small businesses.

  1. I have to say Rhonda I have been buying organic yarns and organic wool fleece and cotton knit fabric from Ecoyarns for some years and I haven't been disappointed with anything I have bought. Really great service too.

  3. Rhonda I make a small organic doll like this little one http://www.flickr.com/photos/littlejennywren/3374661560

The skin is undyed organic cotton and the stuffing is organic wool fleece, both from Ecoyarns, the hair is a local undyed handspun mohair and the dress is the supersoft undyed kid brushed alpaca from Ecoyarns. These little dolls feel very different from my other dolls, they are as light as a feather and very special.

  9. That yarn looks wonderful. The colours are beautiful. I wish we had a shop like that here in The Netherlands. It's too far away to order, with all the costs and flight costs etc.
    Have a great weekend.

  10. She's very sweet, Jenny. I ordered some of the baby alpaca and have given it to Sarndra to knit with. It is so soft and beautiful. Thanks for your endorement, Jenny. It's very helpful to know how people work with the various yarns.

Susan, the Australian dollar is stronger than the American dollar now so it's a good time for you to buy.

  11. I have seen these yarns before, but never purchased any as I was a bit reluctant to buy anything off the internet. However in the last 12 months I have bought a handful of various items without any problems. You have reminded me about these yarns and how lovely they look...so I will try some yarn for myself and make a few things for Ben. The colours look beautiful in your post, and I am looking forward to seeing what you create with yours.

  12. What a material of un-ambiguity and preserveness of valuable experience regarding unexpected emotions.
