Introducing My Poppet

I receive emails every day asking to advertise on my blog; I say no to 99.9% of them. My intention is to promote small businesses and mums and dads with home businesses, and to provide you with information about products I would use or those I believe to be worthy of a higher profile. I will have information about eco yarns soon but today I introduce My Poppet.

It's a little store full of things you won't find anywhere else, things for children which are handmade, vintage or just a little bit of fun. Some things there can be for grown-ups too. My Poppet is run by Cintia Gonzalez, mother and creative brain, who hand makes a lot of the stock in the shop herself. The My Poppet label is made using collected vintage fabrics and reclaimed textiles, and the clothing is bright and a little bit quirky. At My Poppet they don't believe children should look like mini adults.

When Cintia is not sewing or needle felting, she and her daughter Emma enjoy walking to their local Op-shops in search for textiles and sewing supplies.

Cintia writes a blog full of project tutorials, her product inspiration, juggling a business and motherhood, and anything else that life throws at her.

The My Poppet button is on my sidebar now. Click there or on the links above to visit Cintia at the store or her blog.

Another interesting blog to visit! Thank you Rhonda :).

All the best to Cinta but Rhonda I thought the baby was early when I saw your title in Google Reader! :o :D

HA Rose. Not yet, my dear.

Thanks Rhonda - you know I'm sure I've seen my poppet before at a few arty markets around melbourne! My last blog post is about such a market and I'm wondering if my poppet was there! Going to send her a little note to ask! Amazing how you bump into people sometimes.

You really had me going for a moment there, Rhonda. 'Introducing My Poppet'..... I was sure that the first of your baby grandsons had arrived! It won't be long to wait now.

ps I am having such fun experimenting with different soap recipes - I never dreamed of wanting to make soap until I read about it on your site. Thank you.

You have such a good blogs and links and I was going to add it to my blog reads but they need to be bounds.

Coffee is on.

My children have a couple of pairs of those pants that were given to us as a gift. They are wonderful.

Love your blog and the nappies. Have been following you for a while now and this is my first time here. I made your soap a few weeks ago and it is lovely. Is it suitable for babies skin? Thank you Rhonda.

Hi Rhonda love your blog congratulations on your award and of finishing your book looking forward to that and two the new babies what an exciting year you are having

Thank you for saying that children do not have to look like mini adults! And the term "my poppet"? Does it mean my baby? Educate me on your Australian vernacular please :)

Ellen, it's good to know you're making soap. It's such a fine skill to have.

Becky, thanks for that feedback. I'd like some of them too.

Mary, a poppet is a little person.
